It is known that the target audience for horror films is 16-24, both genders, however I wanted to do my own research to find out if this really is the target audience. I did a survey and asked classmates, friends and family to get a wide range of ages and genders to get an accurate result.
Our small scale research solidified the target audience for horror films; both genders and 16-24. Knowing this will make us keep in mind the target audience when creating the narrative and trailer to make it appeal to the younger generation.
